    2. The Spuhl FTA-120 operates in a fully automatic cycle.
    3. Forming, knotting at both ends, heat treating, and assembling of the springs with helical wires, cutting and knuckling the helical wires are all performed without any human assistance.
    4. The machine can be constructed as a special version to suit specified requirements.
    5. It can be used for spring units with heavy-gauge wire, low springs (with or without crimped end rings), or for springs with extremely small end ring diameters, for small or large units.
    6. It is suitable for virtually all spring units in the mattress and upholstery industry.
  2. Fully Automatic Operation
    1. On the automatic coiling machine, double conic springs are formed, knotted at both ends, and heat treated.
    2. Springs are transferred to the AM-115 assembly machine with a transfer system, joined together with helical wires to form complete units, and finally ejected.
    3. Top and bottom helical wires are cut without loss of material and knuckled at all four ends at a rate of 90 springs per minute.
    4. Up to 700 spring units (measuring 186 x 86 cm) per shift with one operator serving three machines.
