Description

  1. Overview
    1. The power barge entered commercial operation in 2000.
    2. It has a capacity of 130 MW with a power purchase agreement contracted output of 110 MW.
    3. It was constructed with 8 units of dual fuel Wartsila engines which fire on both heavy fuel oil and compressed natural gas (CNG) to generate electricity.
    4. Electricity is generated through a shaft connection to an ABB generator which runs at 500 rpm.
    5. Electricity generated by the 8 Wartsila engines is 15 kV at 50 Hz.
    6. The ABB generator output is delivered to 2 ABB main step-up transformers on-board the barge.
  2. Facility Composition
    1. The power plant facility is comprised of one floating power barge and one gas compressor house.
    2. It includes the auxiliary equipment required to run the operation.
    3. It includes various office and storage buildings together with a comprehensive workshop.
  3. Configuration and Layout
    1. On the main engine hall of the barge, the 8 generators are arranged in parallel.
