    1. Ring gear, planetary gears, and auxiliary drive gear: all gears appear in good condition; no corrosion or wear is evident.
    2. RGB housing: uncoated areas of the cast housing exhibit minor surface corrosion.
  7. Engine Core Borescope Inspection
    1. This inspection was only a cursory examination of the hot section; entry was from one point only at the ignitor torch.
    2. The shaft rotates by hand from the Pt blades.
    3. This engine has not been subjected to water filling from inlet or exhaust (exhaust bellows removed).
    4. Minor thermal distress is noted in the combustor can, however cracking is absent.
    5. 1st stage nozzles appear to be in good condition.
    6. 1st stage blades exhibit moderate tip wear.
    7. Unusual material loss is noted adjacent the Pcd inlet to the combustor can.
    8. Fg injector tuyeres: pilot centre erosion; fuel hole contaminated, blocked; cracks; liquid: broken fuel spoke.
    9. Combustor interior: crack none noted; thermal erosion: hot spots several areas of heat distress from flame impingement noted, loss of material noted at aft of can adjacent to Pcd inlet louvres; buckling or warpage: very minor buckling noted at hot spots.
    10. Gp 1st stage nozzles: cracks none noted; thermal erosion none noted; Fod none noted; coating appears to be in good condition.
    11. Gp 1st stage blades: cracks none noted; thermal erosion none noted; Fod none noted; tip rub: rub has occurred at high loads; coating: light surface corrosion evident.
