Commissions for Brokers and Agents
For independent brokers, agents and buyer's mandates who introduce a new buyer to American Plant and Equipment.
We pay a commission (finder's fee) to brokers and agents who introduce a new buyer to us and register that buyer with us before any negotiations begin.

Thank you. Your request is with the American Plant and Equipment team.

How we pay brokers and agents
-
Commission rates
- Power generation equipment and related equipment
2% of the sale price up to $25,000,000, plus 1% of any amount above $25,000,000.
Example: on a $30,000,000 sale, the commission is $550,000 ($500,000 + $50,000).
- Weaving looms and other textile and finishing machinery
5% of the sale price.
- All other equipment
Between 2% and 6%, at the rate we confirm to you in writing before we issue our quotation.
- Power generation equipment and related equipment
-
Amounts above our price
If you secure a price above our price and the buyer pays it, the amount above our price is split 50/50 between you and us, paid together with your commission.
-
How the commission is calculated
On the final price at which the sale actually closes and that we receive (not including taxes, duties, shipping or other pass-through costs), not on any price quoted earlier.
-
When the commission is paid
Only after we have received the buyer's full payment. We do not pay commissions pro rata, on deposits or on partial payments, because a buyer can reject or cancel a project at any time before paying in full. Until we receive full payment, the sale is not concluded. Once earned, we pay it within 7 business days after receiving the buyer's full payment and your invoice.
-
Registering a buyer
Before any negotiations, send us the buyer's company name, contact name, contact details and requirements. We confirm in writing within 5 business days whether the buyer is accepted. Only the first accepted registration of a buyer earns a commission. No commission is paid for a buyer or dealer already known to us; we tell you at registration if that is the case.
-
Our agreements
Our standard Non-Circumvention and Non-Disclosure Agreement and our Commission Agreement set out these terms in full.
