1. OVERVIEW OF LM 6000 PA GAS TURBINE
LM 6000 PA GAS TURBINE IS A MODIFIED AERO ENGINE, WHICH IS MANUFACTURED BY GE COMPANY. ADHERING TO THE CHARACTERISTICS OF LIGHT GAS TURBINE, THE UNIT HAS THE CHARACTERISTICS OF FAST START AND STOP, HIGH SINGLE CYCLE EFFICIENCY, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, LIGHT WEIGHT AND HIGH INVESTMENT PER KILOWATT; THE UNIT IS COMPOSED OF FIVE STAGE LOW PRESSURE COMPRESSOR, 14 STAGE HIGH PRESSURE COMPRESSOR, COMBUSTION CHAMBER, TWO STAGE HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE AND FIVE STAGE LOW PRESSURE TURBINE; THE MAIN FUEL OF THE UNIT IS 0 × DIESEL OR NATURAL GAS. UNDER ISO CONDITION, THE SINGLE CYCLE POWER OF THE UNIT IS 42 MW, AND THE SINGLE CYCLE EFFICIENCY CAN REACH 39%.
2. COMPOSITION OF LM 6000 PA GAS TURBINE GENERATOR SET
A). SKID MOUNT OF GAS TURBINE GENERATOR. THE GAS TURBINE AND GENERATOR ARE INSTALLED ON THE SAME SKID MOUNT BODY AND ARE ENCLOSED IN THE BOX;
B) FUEL SYSTEM OF GAS TURBINE. EQUIPPED WITH LIQUID FUEL SYSTEM AND NATURAL GAS FUEL SYSTEM;
C) GENERATOR.
D) COMBUSTION AND VENTILATION AIR FILTER.
E) GEARBOX. TO REDUCE 3600 RPM OF THE GAS TURBINE OUTPUT TO 3000 RPM; 6).EXHAUST DEVICE.
F) AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT SKID MOUNT.
G) SKID MOUNTED OIL TANK OF GENERATOR / GEARBOX

3. OPERATION OF LM 6000 PA GAS TURBINE GENERATOR SET
THE UNIT WAS PUT INTO OPERATION ON DECEMBER 25TH, 1995. AT PRESENT, IT IS IN THE STATE OF SHUTDOWN. THE FOLLOWING IS THE MAIN OPERATION OF THE UNIT:
4. TECHNICAL TRANSFORMATION AND MAJOR MAINTENANCE. OIL TO GAS TRANSFORMATION.
IN 2004, IN ORDER TO REDUCE THE FUEL COST, THE UNIT WAS TRANSFORMED FROM OIL TO GAS. THE NEW DUAL FUEL COMBUSTION CHAMBER IS REPLACED, AND THE SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE OF THE GAS TURBINE CONTROL SYSTEM ARE UPDATED, SO THAT THE UNIT CAN USE EITHER LIQUID OR GAS FUEL ALONE OR BOTH FUELS FOR POWER GENERATION AT THE SAME TIME. IN ADDITION, A COMPLETE SET OF NATURAL GAS SUPPLY PIPELINE IS ADDED, A SEPARATE NATURAL GAS BOOSTER SKID IS EQUIPPED, AND THE NATURAL GAS PIPELINE SYSTEM INCLUDING NATURAL GAS METERING VALVE AND GAS PURGING DEVICE ARE EQUIPPED ON THE GAS TURBINE BODY. AFTER THE TRANSFORMATION, THE OPERATION EFFICIENCY OF THE WHOLE UNIT HAS BEEN IMPROVED, AND THE OPERATION CONDITION IS GOOD. ABOUT 3200 HOURS OF OPERATION AND POWER GENERATION AFTER THE TRANSFORMATION.
5. EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE.
IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH GE'S SPECIFICATIONS, THE COMPANY HAS FORMULATED THE DAILY REGULAR INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE PLAN OF GAS TURBINE, REGULARLY CARRIED OUT STRICT INSPECTION ON GAS TURBINE UNITS, AND CARRIED OUT HOLE PROBE INSPECTION ON GAS TURBINE IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH THE HOLE PROBE PLAN.
THE GAS TURBINE UNIT WAS TRANSPORTED TO USA REPAIR PLANT FOR OVERHAUL IN AUGUST 2004. NEW COMBUSTOR, NEW HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE AND NEW LOW PRESSURE TURBINE WHICH CAN USE NATURAL GAS AND DIESEL OIL WERE REPLACED. ALL SERVICE AND PRODUCT BULLETINS ISSUED BY GE UP TO THE END OF 2004 WERE IMPLEMENTED. THE UNIT EQUIPMENT WAS IN GOOD CONDITION BEFORE SHUTDOWN.
AT PRESENT, DUE TO THE SHUTDOWN OF THE UNIT, REGULAR UNIT BARRING IS IMPLEMENTED ONCE A WEEK, AND THE HIGH-PRESSURE ROTOR SPEED IS 2500 RPM, LOW PRESSURE ROTOR SPEED 200 RPM.
