Description
Overview
Werner & Pfleiderer (Coperion) Zsk-250 twin screw extruder system
Type Bd108/205-R70
250 mm screw diameter
Previously used in polypropylene applications
Originally delivered in February 1996 to a polypropylene facility
Moved to a separate location during facility closure with the expectation of installation when the polypropylene unit was debottlenecked, but never installed due to insufficient space
Condition
In excellent condition
Professionally dismantled and packaged for shipment
Immediately available
The 250 mm twin screw extruder unit has been disassembled and stored in a temperature-controlled environment; some equipment is in crates and others under tarps
A certain degree of care was taken in storing this W-P unit; the overall condition is good
Care has been taken to maintain it and the GE drive
Included Equipment
Renke-Tacke gearbox (the gearbox shows little wear; the main shaft was hand-rotated to check the full range of gears)

Pellet Geometry Notes
The geometric shape that has the pellet when it leaves the extruder depends on several parameters: the rotation speed of the knife, the intrinsic viscosity of the polymer, the temperature inside the extruder, etc.
Each customer requires a specific form called length/diameter ratio, so we can adjust the parameters measured above it and get pellets that resemble short rice grain or long
